This exhibition at Pushkin House, Centre for Russian Culture and inspired by Znaniye Russian School, will present paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, artist’s books, installations and sculptures by 27 artists who have come together from Britain, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Denmark, India, China and Lithuania. Each artist has set out to explore details of the lives and works of writers and composers from historic and modern day Russia. Some pieces are interactive in style, and there will be accompanying workshops by the artists for the public, inspired by their pieces on show.
Pushkin House has been established to serve as a home and dedicated showcase for Russian culture in London, a focus for Anglo-Russian cultural exchange, a provider of education and information on Russian language and culture, a resource and networking centre for individuals and institutions.
