ADULTS / YOUNG PEOPLE Saturday 17 August 2019, 7-8PM INTERNATIONAL MUSIC WEEKEND AT THE ART PAVILION: Juli Szatmari, Hungary Juli Szatmari is a well-established and known Hungarian singer-songwriter performing her own songs on a guitar. Inspired by bossa nova, jazz, blues, rock and pop, she combines these elements in her music. Telling stories of her own life, but also writing about current political and socio-critical issues you can await a funny but serious, feather-light but deep concert. “In my life music connects earth and sky. Melodies move me from the inside and from the outside – I could not think of another way of possibly getting closer to this kind of weightlessness. I believe maybe this is the reason I write music.” Listen to Juli sing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09KJ0VWaThA |
